Effective September 9, 2026

This page describes what information RiddleCat collects when you use our games, websites, and apps (the “Service”), how we use it, and how we share it.

Information we collect

When you play, we collect gameplay and usage information — for example, which puzzles you play, your progress, and your results. This information is associated with a unique identifier stored in your browser, which lets us recognise the same browser across visits.

If you arrive from a link on another website, our play records also note the name of that website.

We use technologies such as browser storage to keep this identifier and to save things like your game progress on your device.

Like most online services, our hosting infrastructure also automatically records standard technical information about requests, such as IP address and browser type.

How we use information

We use this information to operate, maintain, and improve the Service; to understand how it is used in aggregate — for example, daily play counts and completion rates; to keep the Service secure and to prevent abuse and misuse; and to comply with legal obligations.

How we share information

We use third-party service providers — for hosting and similar functions — that process information on our behalf. We do not sell personal information. We may also disclose information where required by law; to protect the rights, safety, and security of the Service, our players, or others; in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition; or with your consent.

Data retention

How long we keep information depends on the type of information and why we hold it: usage records are kept on a rolling basis, and technical request logs are kept for a short period.

Your choices

You can clear this site’s data in your browser at any time; this removes the stored identifier. It does not delete usage records that have already been collected.

Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
